Why LVT is the go-to floor for London flats
LVT gives you the look of real timber or stone with none of the fuss — waterproof, hard-wearing and warm underfoot, with modern click and glue-down systems that handle everything from a small hallway to a full open-plan flat. It's now our most-fitted floor for kitchens, hallways and whole-flat refurbishments in Maida Vale, Paddington and across Central London.
Herringbone LVT — a specialism of ours
Herringbone is the pattern of the moment. We cut, dry-lay and fit herringbone LVT properly, with the borders and thresholds finished by hand. Bring a photo of your room to the showroom and we'll show you three or four shades that would work — every job comes with a free measurement and an honest quote.
Subfloor prep, levelling and finishing
LVT is only as good as the floor underneath it. We check the subfloor at measurement, level with self-levelling compound where needed and finish with matching thresholds and scotia so the job looks factory-fitted. Included in the quote — no hidden extras.
Living with an LVT floor
Day to day it's about as easy as flooring gets: sweep it, mop it, and it looks the same in five years. Felt pads under furniture legs and a mat at the front door do most of the work of keeping it looking new, and because LVT is fitted in tiles or planks, a damaged section can be lifted and replaced rather than relaying the whole room.
Common questions
- Is LVT suitable for a bathroom?
- Yes — it's water-resistant and warm underfoot, which is why we fit a lot of it in kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms.
- Does the floor need levelling first?
- Sometimes. We check the subfloor at the free measurement and tell you then, so any levelling is priced in the quote rather than sprung on you on fitting day.
- Can LVT go over underfloor heating?
- In most cases yes, within the manufacturer's temperature limits. Tell us at measurement and we'll pick a range that's approved for it.
- Herringbone or plank?
- Herringbone makes a hallway or reception room feel considered and can make a small room look bigger; wide plank is calmer and works well through an open-plan space. Both are on display in the showroom.
